The morning sun illuminated the tall grass. The golden field looked ablaze and gave warmth to the brisk fall morning. Kristin’s smile beamed. She told me when Jenni asked her if she wanted to take pictures together, there was no hesitation. It was an immediate “YES!” She went on and said how they even got to spend time together shopping for new outfits. I could hear the thrill in her voice. Time spend with her growing, independent daughter meant the world to her. I started to well-up (as I’m doing now) but pushed it back as I think about my own girls. They all grow up, but mama is always there.
I loved this mother and daughter session idea, especially since it was Jenni’s idea! Kristin and Jenni choose a sunrise session on the Rims in Billings and Oh My! It did not disappoint! The rising sun gave the dreamiest glowing light to the tall grass field. And of course they brought their pup, Winston, for a few pictures! He’s such a big part of both of their lives, and puts a smile on everyone’s face.
Kristin and Jenni, you two are just the sweetest! I’ve loved all the sessions we’ve had together, but this one just made my heart so happy. I admire that you both value the relationship you have with each other and you continue to foster growth.
