The early July sun beat down. The backyard aspen trees created a much needed cooling shade. The laughter and conversation filled my ears from the family behind me. No sooner did my camera click and I gave a “You look great!” did I hear my new friend bound over to me. “Can I see?” uttered the cutest little voice you ever heard. I knelt down in the refreshing grass to show the back of my camera to my newest assistant and ask him what he thought. As he looked at the camera a smile crossed his face and I could see a constructive critique coming. “It looks pretty good. I look like a toad. Papa looks like a hammer.” And away he walked. I guess I’ll take that as a win.
I had so much fun capturing the extended family of Bobbi and Rich right in their own beautiful backyard session! With their daughter’s family living out of state it was so special for them to have the opportunity to all be together. I loved seeing them all reconnecting and enjoying each other’s company between photos. Change and new adventures seemed to be the topic of our conversations. Bobbi and Rich are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary, selling their business and retiring together this year! What grand accomplishments I’m sure they are so proud of.
Bobbi and Rich, congratulations on 40 years of marriage AND retirement! You two have created such a beautiful family and home together. You are wonderful examples for your children, grandchildren and others to look up to. I can’t wait to hear about where retirement takes you and see your marriage and commitment to each other continue to flourish. Bobbi and Rich, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your beautiful family!
