The warm day was a welcome from the rainy weekend. The sun shone brightly parting the few clouds in the sky. A perfect Montana spring day for a Billings elopement. On the top of the rims, the wind blew the tall grass and gave movement to Alicia’s angelic gown and golden hair. Alicia and Cody snuggled close for a picture. A smile came to their faces and I could see the deep love they had for each other. They were thrilled to be married after a year engagement and it radiated in their eyes. They couldn’t hide it if they tried. All of a sudden Cody went in for a kiss. Although I was too far away to hear it, I could see his lips mouth “I love you.” Alicia smiled and they kissed again.
Alicia and Cody are a laid back couple who choose to have an intimate marriage ceremony. Their son, Wyatt, was there to witness their vows to each other and he smiled THE WHOLE TIME! I’m convinced he knew what was happening. It was such a tender moment to see both Alicia and Cody wiping away tears as they made commitments to love and cherish each other for the rest of their lives. But my favorite part of the session would have to be Wyatt’s giggles as he was bouncing along the rocky paths of the rims. While Alicia navigated the rocks in her heels, Cody tested the off-roading capabilities of the stroller to get some gorgeous views for their photos.
Alicia and Cody, I loved the chance to spend a few hours with you and get to know you more! It was a privilege to not only take your wedding pictures, but to be a witness of your marriage ceremony. I pray that as your marriage ages you fall in love with each other daily. When trials arise I pray you remember the commitments you vowed to one another. Mr. and Mrs. Lewman, thank you again for choosing me to photograph your Billings elopement!
